Vishaal Venkatesh

Vishaal is a Data Scientist based in Chicago. He has a background in computer vision, natural language processing, deep learning, and reinforcement learning. Vishaal is curious about up-and-coming, niche data science techniques and is passionate about transforming them to provide business value to our clients.

Prior to joining Aimpoint, Vishaal obtained a master’s degree in data science from Duke University. During his capstone project there, he worked with a global cybersecurity client to build object-detection models that could detect phishing attempts on websites. Before Duke, Vishaal graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering.

Vishaal recently moved to Chicago and is really looking forward to exploring the food and sports scene there.

Fun fact: Many years ago, Vishaal won a lottery to attend soccer training camp by the Italian club AC Milan. He briefly met David Beckham there (for a few nanoseconds)!
