
Stephen graduated with distinction from the United States Naval Academy in 2017. As a Bowman Scholar, he pursued further education at the Naval Postgraduate School, obtaining a Master of Science in Applied Science (Operations Research) in 2018. Stephen excelled in his Nuclear Submarine Officer training, graduating 2nd in his class at Nuclear Power School and becoming one of the first officers to qualify on the new Moored Training Ship 701. He served on the Pre-Commissioned Unit submarine Hyman G. Rickover (PCU 795), where he qualified as a Submarine Officer and played a crucial role in the building and testing of the Navy’s newest submarine. Stephen also served as an Assistant Professor of Naval Science at Morehouse College in Atlanta, where he instructed prospective naval officers in engineering, weapons systems, and leadership.
Stephen served as a Nuclear Submarine Officer for over 7.5 years, receiving an honorable discharge upon completing his active duty service. He continues to serve as a Submarine-qualified officer in the U.S. Navy Selected Reserve.
Stephen joins Aimpoint Digital from the Department of Defense SkillBridge program. The DOD SkillBridge program connects service members transitioning to the private sector with industry partners to provide real-world job experience. We are proud to support this initiative with a flexible curriculum and support system during our 12-week program.
