Robert Zell

Robert is an Associate Data Scientist who graduated from Mercer University in 2023 with a Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA). His passion for economics and finance provides him with unique perspectives, and his meticulous attention to detail ensures the delivery of high-quality results.

Before joining Aimpoint and earning his master's degree, Robert majored in both economics and finance at Mercer University. While there, he co-founded a data science organization on campus and served as Chief Information Officer for the $1.4 million student-managed investment fund. Through his internships and volunteer work, Robert has helped identify, save, and generate millions of dollars using predictive analytics, visualization, and statistical inference. His notable projects include rejection inferencing for USAA's credit card oversight team, CECL forecast modeling for Freddie Mac's single-family loan portfolio, and credit card fraud detection using ensemble learning techniques. Robert has also earned his Core Designer Certificate for Dataiku.

Outside of work, Robert enjoys hiking, reading, rock climbing, and traveling.
