Penn Sefton

Penn is a Data Engineer based in Birmingham, Alabama. He is expert in advising clients on data platform builds across various industries and is passionate about helping them connect technical solutions to the business value being delivered.

Prior to joining Aimpoint Digital, Penn worked as a Senior Consultant at 3Cloud, helping deliver Azure-based data engineering solutions. On the Data Engineering team, he used Databricks and dbt in conjunction with Azure resources to synthesize disparate data sources, increasing the information available to be analyzed while still saving on cost and time spent preparing data. He promoted customer-centric thinking on his projects, ensuring that critical business users were engaged in data product development, leading to significant gains in usage and targeted new features.

Penn earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Samford University, majoring in Economics and a minor in Data Analytics. In his spare time, Penn enjoys a round of golf, whether it’s good or bad, pickleball, any soccer match, or cooking new foods.
