Oscar Giles

Oscar joins Aimpoint Digital as a Senior Data Engineer with over 10 years of experience in software engineering and data-driven applications. He is a polyglot engineer, working across the stack - from cloud infrastructure and data pipelines to distributed systems and web applications. Oscar enjoys helping teams solve complex operational challenges through innovative software solutions.

Before joining Aimpoint Digital, Oscar worked as a software engineer at an early-stage startup, where he helped build a cloud simulation platform used across the pharmaceutical, FMCG, and defense industries. He also led software projects at the Alan Turing Institute, including developing an air pollution forecasting system for the London Mayor’s Office.

Oscar has a strong academic background, holding a PhD in Sensorimotor Control, with over 40 scientific articles published in the fields of Psychology, Medicine, and Machine Learning.

In his spare time, he enjoys climbing, music, spending time with his family, and learning new skills.
