Juan Morinelli

Juan is a Senior Data Scientist with more than 10 years of experience in research and development. He brings a diverse perspective on process design and control, having experience in the public, academic, and private sectors. He is a team-driven, lifelong learner who enjoys creating computational tools to solve real manufacturing problems.

Prior to joining Aimpoint, Juan worked as a Senior Data Science Consultant at Kalypso, a Rockwell Automation Business. Before that, he worked as a Research Scientist in the Data Analytics division within the same organization. In both roles, he led the data analysis, computational design, and implementation of client-driven solutions in a wide range of process industries and manufacturing. He holds Bachelor and Master of Science degrees from Michigan Technological University and a Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon University, all in Chemical Engineering. In his spare time, he enjoys playing soccer, going to Austin FC games, and enjoying the outdoors of central Texas.

Fun fact: Juan and his family have a coffee farm near Los Nevados National Park in the Colombian Andes.
