Joe Schafer

Joe Schafer is the Director of Sales for Data Analytics. Joe has a long history in tech, having practiced as a technologist since college at The Ohio State University. He’s specifically been in data & analytics since 2010. Most recently, he led the most productive Sales Engineering team at Alteryx, leading the company in both software revenue and revenue-per-headcount productivity for FY’22 metrics.

He has a passion for winning together with his customers and has found tons of success partnering with Aimpoint Digital over the past three years. Joe’s not just another salesperson: He’s trained with a Tableau Zen Master from a mountaintop in Silicon Valley and earned Core and Advanced certifications in Alteryx’s Automation Platform. While his background is in Tableau and Alteryx, he’s thrilled to support all the incredible capabilities Aimpoint brings to market, including dbt Labs, PowerBI, and Dataiku.

Joe currently hails from Scituate, Massachusetts, where he raises two boys with his wife, Ashley, and shepherds three fur babies around the backyard. He loves to travel and play golf (terribly) and wishes the water was warmer so he could go surfing and stand up paddle-boarding without a thick wetsuit. He spends his weekends gardening with his wife, gaming, and cycling with his boys, and throwing a chuck-it to satiate his dogs’ relentless desire to fetch a ball.
